Description
Location. The Grand Hotel Puccini is located in the centre of Milan, Italy, within three kilometres of both the Duomo and the shopping area of Piazza della Scala. LIMA metro station (red line) is located 20 metres from the hotel. Hotel Features. This contemporary hotel is set near the historic area of Milan. Public areas are decorated in marble with hanging tapestries and crystal chandeliers. Grand Hotel Puccini features multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk who can organise limo services or transfers to and from the airports. A concierge desk opens to assist guests with organising tourist excursions, tours of other Italian cities, and booking tickets for theatre or sporting events.

There is a business centre in hotel, including computer rentals, photocopier and fax services. Internet access is available in public areas for a surcharge and there are conference rooms for meetings and congresses.
Guestrooms. Each floor of the hotel is inspired by the operas of Tuscan composer Giacomo Puccini. The 'Tosca' floor is reserved for non smokers. There are 65 air conditioned guestrooms spread across the five floors of Grand Hotel Puccini. Guestrooms are decorated in soft pastel colours and are soundproofed. Amenities include satellite television with pay movies, desks, wireless Internet (surcharge), radios, minibars, refrigerators and safes.
Expert Tip. The church and convent of S. Maria delle Grazie features complex architecture and is home to Leonardo da Vinci's 'Last Supper', painted on a wall in the refectory. The church is located five kilometres from the hotel.

DirectionsFrom Milan Linate Airport (LIN): Distance to Grand Hotel Puccini is 5 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
Getting there. A taxi to the Grand Hotel Puccini costs about 15 EUR. An airport shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes to Milan's Stazione Centrale (central station). The fare is 3 EUR for a single ticket. Take the shuttle bus to the central train station. Then take tram number 33 or bus number 60 to Vitruvio Street and turn right into Corso Buenos Aires. The number 73 bus leaves every 10 minutes from outside arrivals and runs to San Babila station on Milan's underground metro system. The fare is 1 EUR for a single ticket. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The city centre is easy to explore on foot, and there are pedestrianised areas around the Duomo. A comprehensive network of trams, buses and four metro lines offers efficient travel throughout the city. Integrated tickets for all modes of public transport can be purchased at newsagents, metro stations, tobacconists, and most coffee bars. Driving is not recommended in Milan's city centre. There are many one way streets, traffic is heavy, and parking is limited. Cars parked illegally are towed or fined.
Driving directions. From the main motorway to Milan, take the Tangenziale est and exit at Lambrate. Take Via Porpora up to Piazza Loreto. Turn left onto Corso Buenos Aires. The hotel entrance is situated in an inner courtyard.
